Decisions, Decisions...

Okay, has anybody who's reading this (HOPEFULLY there are people reading this) Heard of Nanowrimo? It's a competition in November where during the whole month you must write the first 50,000 words of a novel. It's a great competition for us writers! :D
Well I have three ideas, with titles for what I should do. I need you to comment and tell me which is the best.

First, the first story would be set in the far future where all civilization is wiped out. The people are basically living in a city in the middle of a HUGE desert. 10 citizens are condemned to die and are told that if they can complete a Elcarim, they will survive. An Elcarim is where you complete a task through a trial where you compelte it by complete luck and the odds are NOT in your favor. The 10 peoples task is to go from the top of a tower to the body. Easy right, stairs elevators...something of the sort, NO. This building is the tallest in recorded history, it is FAR beyond on the clouds. The witch of the town sends the kids to the top of the building, nobody knows how or why this was the task chosen for them. The kids start their quest and soon it becomes  a race for survival, survival of the fittest. Fighting starts and only so many can survive. There are many secrets and dangers in the tower though, secrets hidden for many years that once reveal may be worth dying for. These secrets will affect the kid's lives forever. They start to see that early death may be for the best, because these secrest threaten to unravel the greatesy mystery of all time.

(SORRY, that was a reallly long description)

SECOND, okay this is such a long plot i'm going to try and say it short. In Orianna's world, everybody inherits a hood. THe color hood determines where they live in the world. When Orianna recives hers , it is diffenet than the rest and is a threat to the land. THe hood dates back to an ancient prophecy in which she must save her world. At the same time a huge civil war is raging and nobody is safe. If she wears the hood, she may survive and bring peace, or the hood will corrupt her, destroy her, and help end the world. Her choice is the biggest of all time, and inthe dark depths below...a monster is waiting for her to the make the decision, the Quest is dangerous and nobody knows the consqueences of inheriting the hood.

Third, (im going to say this REALLY short) In the VIking era  a young witch learns secrest about her coven and so because of this she travels to a new land to sacrifice and be reincarnated and starts to worship and try and open a portal for the devil. Her evil takes a new turn when she develops a plan to return and destroy the Vikings for revenge. Her dark intentions are huge and slowly starting a battle that could end the dark witches, or make them stronger.

WHICH is best?
-Post Apocalyptic Adventure
-Fantasy Quest
-Fantasy/Realistic Fiction Witch story

(Pardon my french but...) HOLY SHIT!!!!

I FELT the need to bump this picture up hugely because it is so epic! IM Making a review and i'm not even finished the book yet! Divergent is an amazing dystopian thriller with lots of great messages and a wonderful plot.
Here is the plot summary.

In Beatrice Prior's dystopian Chicago, society is divided into five factions, each dedicated to the cultivation of a particular virtue—Candor (the honest), Abnegation (the selfless), Dauntless (the brave), Amity (the peaceful), and Erudite (the intelligent). On an appointed day of every year, all sixteen-year-olds must select the faction to which they will devote the rest of their lives. For Beatrice, the decision is between staying with her family and being who she really is—she can't have both. So she makes a choice that surprises everyone, including herself.

During the highly competitive initiation that follows, Beatrice renames herself Tris and struggles to determine who her friends really are—and where, exactly, a romance with a sometimes fascinating, sometimes infuriating boy fits into the life she's chosen. But Tris also has a secret, one she's kept hidden from everyone because she's been warned it can mean death. And as she discovers a growing conflict that threatens to unravel her seemingly perfect society, she also learns that her secret might help her save those she loves . . . or it might destroy her.

Debut author Veronica Roth bursts onto the literary scene with the first book in the Divergent series—dystopian thrillers filled with electrifying decisions, heartbreaking betrayals, stunning consequences, and unexpected romance

THIS STORY WAS AMAZING! (Or "is" I suppose since i'm not done)

When I first read the description I said "Wow GREAT cover but it doesn't sound like too much goes on" BOY WAS I WRONG. There could be two events and still Veronica Roth would impress. For a debut book this was downright phenomenal. (DANG I KEEP SAYING "was") This story follows a strong and independant character who isn't afraid t o call for help. She is a great character who develops and evolves a lot through the story. The surprises are HUGE, the plot is perfectley paced and this story is a MUST READ. Okay you guys know that first we went through our vampire phase (Inspired by Twilight) than our werewolf phsae and than our angel phase. NOW, it's the dystopian phase and im loving it! So many new dystpoian novels are just too...(how do I say this) predicatable. I mean basically their story is obvious.
1. Accept the government
2. Realize government is bad
3. Fight back
4. Win.
THE END

The stories aren't complex and thought out. With Veronica Roth's Divergent, the whole story is cleverly plotted out, brilliantly paced, wonderfully throrough and amazingly SHOCKING. The story will pick you up and have you reading until the end in moments. This story is impossible to put down with its nonstop action, tear jerking moments, and anazing events. From page one the story takes off and is fantastic. They really thought out the whole government theme. The amazing part about the story is that while it's full of plot events theres only so many. In actuality the story has only a few BIG plot events. Usually when this happens you get 100 pages of nonstop desscription and thought that bores the hell out of you, with this story it doesnt! You don't find out a lot of secrets until further in, but you're so occupied with amazing plot twists and fantastic story events that it doesn't even matter. I may not be done but this story already gets 5 stars. GREAT WORK Veronica Roth, keep it up, I can't wait to read more from you!

Review: Gamer Girl by Mari Mancusi

Gamer Girl is an amazing book. This story shows the truth about bullying, fitting in, individulaity, popularity, and all other things. If you want a tree Teen Drama or are a manga lover or ANYBODY who likes to read, Gamer Girl will not dissapoint.
This story follows teenager Maddy Starr a girl who has just moved into her grandmother's house due to her parent's divorce. At her old school, diversity wasn't a problem, everybody was their own person and balance was maintained in the school. She was with all the goths, hardcore emos, and manga loving people. Maddy had amazing friends and a perfect life but than she had to move. Her life has fallen apart and from day one of her new high school, she was instantly torn down by laughter and mocking. She only has a few real friends. For her birthday she recives the game Fields of Fantasy, a game she's wanted to play FOREVER it seems. She suddenly is addicted to the game because she feels she's only accepted as a Gamer Girl. She goes by the name Allora and meets a very charming guy online named Sir Leo. She really wants to meet him, and falls in love with him but still doens't truly know him. All the while she deals with her family problems, her school drama, and trying to fit in as best as she can. The story is heartwarming and truly an eye opening book to the reality of bullying. This story will pick you up from page one and will have you racing through the book in hours. It's a great read, (in this review I wont spoil anything) and I assure you that you will thoroughly enjoy it. This book is five out of five stars.

Review- Demonata: Hell's Heroes

WARNING: BLOG SPOT WILL CONTAIN SPOILERS, PLEASE COMMENT IF YOU WOULD LIKE A SPOILER FREE REVIEW OF THIS BOOK

Hell's Heroes, well...WHERE DO I START?
This book is the conclusion to the phenomenal Demonata series, by the award winning author of Cirque Du Freak, Darren Shan.
If you have read Cirque Du Freak, you will most definitley DEVOUR Darren Shan's Demonata Series. The series follows three main characters Bec, Grubbs, and Kernel, and their adventures fighting demons and kicking demonata A**! Well, that was a very vague description but I assure you the series is definitlery worth reading. Hell's Heroes was the conclusion to this spectacular series. Here is the official description.

Beranabus and Dervish are gone. Bec has formed an unholy alliance with Lord Loss. Kernel is blind, held on Earth against his will. Grubbs is mad with grief and spinning out of control.

The demons are crossing.
The Disciples are falling.
The Shadow is waiting.

Welcome to the end.

EPIC RIGHT!? I WAS SO EXCITED TO READ  THIS CONCLUSION! The book follows the troubles of losing their mentors Dervish and Berananbus and dealing with arguments amongst themselves and the war with the demons. It all leads to a huge finale and amazing ending! This book was 5 STARS (out of 5). The story deals with so many problems and conflicts it all ties up so well and is very climatic. The WAR IS HERE! In the story, Grubbs rips out Kernel's eyes so he cannot leave the Earth. Bec has made an alliance with Lord Loss, is she too becoming a demon? Grubbs is going insane, spinning out of control because of his new werewolf emotions, he can't control himself.  The story is fast paced and aventurous, full of plot twists and lots of amazing cliffhanger chapter endings. It leads to an amazing EXLPOSIVE (literally) ending!

FULL REVIEW WITH SPOILERS:

Hell's Heroes starts off with the scene of Dervish dying on top of the small disciple headquarters cave. Grubbs is trying to resist tears, I WAS TRYING TO RESIST TEARS. We lost an amazing, kind, hilarious, strong character. It was tragic it was insane, it was an amazing start to an amazing finale.
We than lead to one of MANY Earth fights against demons. Basically the whole world knows of the excistence of Demonata, it's very sad. The world is terrified of the war going on, thousands are dying, and all hope is lost. Basically it is prophesized that Grubbs will end the world (terrible huh?) It's so sad and upsetting. I wish it wasn't so tragic! Kernel is pissed off at Grubbs, he HATES Grubbs for ripping out his eyes, he goes through it all the time! Kernel is upset and trying hard to deal with his blindness and the war raging around him. Soon Grubbs has a shocking dream, showing Bo Kooniart in it! At first I was saying Bo Kooniat? Who the heck is that? Than I thought and remembered, SHE WAS THE ACTRESS FROM SLAWTER! It was so sad to see her tortured and watch Bec help! Than it leads to tons of demon fighting etc etc etc....more demon fighting etc etc etc...and finally they go to Lord Loss's Realm! They get there and free the prisoners which is very happy until only moments later, they reach Lord Loss and Bec. (OH AND KIRILLI IS FINALLY BRAVE!) Bec must prove herself to Lord Lardass (woops I meant Loss :D ) Bec takes the ORIGINAL BOARD (glorius) and destroys thousands of human lives within it, bringing Death back to life... (that doesn't sound right?) It was terrifying, to see the hatred in Bec's eyes, from then on I was CONVINCED she was pure evil. When they fight and leave Kernel knows it's too late to win so he goes dangerously to Atlantis to meet the Old Creature to ask if they will help. Raz (old creature) says no (WHAT A JERK) and than realizes Bec has come! It all changes now, I was convinced everybody would die, it was over, nothing would be happy. The decide to go back to Earth and while there fight demons for what seems like FOREVER... (did I mention earlier they destroyed the lodestone....guess not)
Well, eventually they go to a huge tunnel and fight Lord Lard (man I make that mistake alot) and Bec. They fight eachother and than finally Kernel and Grubbs decide to use the full Kah Gash to kill Bec and Lord Loss. With the power, Bec compeltes it and winks at them. The wink is kind though, so I was somewhat relieved. THe whole universe EXPLDOESSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LITERALLY EXPLODESSS!!!!!!!!!! I was SHOCKED and moments before the explosion I nearly cried to death from the death of Shark and Kirilli (I LOVE THOSE GUYS!!!!!) Soon we find out the universe ended and everything is over but Bec was simply playing a game the whole time and pretending to be evil really she was tricking Death. All three of the Kah Gash fully become the Kah Gash and travel the universe the reshape it and spend eternity doing so. It was happy for me since all the dead characters were allowed to come back to life. I was SHOCKED nearly all the demons were wiped out except for Lord Loss. (DEVIOUS LITTLE DEMON) but it made sense why he had to live...to be the role model for evilll....but still, makes me angry.
The ending was very good and not dissapointing, for me it didn't end amazingly happy but still AMAZING to me. I thought it was a clever and wonderful way to end the series and I was extremely satisfied KUDOS TO YOU Darren Shan, you've done it again.
