(Pardon my french but...) HOLY SHIT!!!!

I FELT the need to bump this picture up hugely because it is so epic! IM Making a review and i'm not even finished the book yet! Divergent is an amazing dystopian thriller with lots of great messages and a wonderful plot.
Here is the plot summary.

In Beatrice Prior's dystopian Chicago, society is divided into five factions, each dedicated to the cultivation of a particular virtue—Candor (the honest), Abnegation (the selfless), Dauntless (the brave), Amity (the peaceful), and Erudite (the intelligent). On an appointed day of every year, all sixteen-year-olds must select the faction to which they will devote the rest of their lives. For Beatrice, the decision is between staying with her family and being who she really is—she can't have both. So she makes a choice that surprises everyone, including herself.

During the highly competitive initiation that follows, Beatrice renames herself Tris and struggles to determine who her friends really are—and where, exactly, a romance with a sometimes fascinating, sometimes infuriating boy fits into the life she's chosen. But Tris also has a secret, one she's kept hidden from everyone because she's been warned it can mean death. And as she discovers a growing conflict that threatens to unravel her seemingly perfect society, she also learns that her secret might help her save those she loves . . . or it might destroy her.

Debut author Veronica Roth bursts onto the literary scene with the first book in the Divergent series—dystopian thrillers filled with electrifying decisions, heartbreaking betrayals, stunning consequences, and unexpected romance

THIS STORY WAS AMAZING! (Or "is" I suppose since i'm not done)

When I first read the description I said "Wow GREAT cover but it doesn't sound like too much goes on" BOY WAS I WRONG. There could be two events and still Veronica Roth would impress. For a debut book this was downright phenomenal. (DANG I KEEP SAYING "was") This story follows a strong and independant character who isn't afraid t o call for help. She is a great character who develops and evolves a lot through the story. The surprises are HUGE, the plot is perfectley paced and this story is a MUST READ. Okay you guys know that first we went through our vampire phase (Inspired by Twilight) than our werewolf phsae and than our angel phase. NOW, it's the dystopian phase and im loving it! So many new dystpoian novels are just too...(how do I say this) predicatable. I mean basically their story is obvious.
1. Accept the government
2. Realize government is bad
3. Fight back
4. Win.
THE END

The stories aren't complex and thought out. With Veronica Roth's Divergent, the whole story is cleverly plotted out, brilliantly paced, wonderfully throrough and amazingly SHOCKING. The story will pick you up and have you reading until the end in moments. This story is impossible to put down with its nonstop action, tear jerking moments, and anazing events. From page one the story takes off and is fantastic. They really thought out the whole government theme. The amazing part about the story is that while it's full of plot events theres only so many. In actuality the story has only a few BIG plot events. Usually when this happens you get 100 pages of nonstop desscription and thought that bores the hell out of you, with this story it doesnt! You don't find out a lot of secrets until further in, but you're so occupied with amazing plot twists and fantastic story events that it doesn't even matter. I may not be done but this story already gets 5 stars. GREAT WORK Veronica Roth, keep it up, I can't wait to read more from you!
